Useless for speed control |

We were pointed to this item as a motor speed control solution for a single phase motor, but it proved useless in practice - Above mid setting, the speed is constant max rpm, and below mid setting, the motor loses all power and turns slowly, but can be stopped by putting a hand on the shaft. The control is still new and working, but after calling for a return, I was informed that it could not be returned due to having been plugged in... yet how else to find out if it works at all? So, we are out $200. Don't make the same mistake, and due to this return practice I would recommend not buying from this company.
